97 - Anthonys now gone, here comes Yasi

Hiya everydody

I have been continually up dating this post, with the advent of cyclone Anthony.

Well it has come and gone with very minimal damage, crossing at Bowen 200 kms north of Mackay.

We have left Mackay and now in Ayr. Here for a couple of days bunkering down for the super cyclone.

Up till the last bulletin, we here were in the firing line, however looks like Cairns is going to get it now.

Guess where we were heading on Wednesday....................................Cairns,

Stay tooned!!!!

CYCLONE BIANCA EXPECTED TO IMPACT COMMUNITIES IN THE SOUTH WEST OF WESTERN
AUSTRALIA ON SUNDAY

Bianca will weaken significantly before it reaches the South West. However
there is a significant risk that it will retain cyclone intensity so people
should prepare for:
. DAMAGING WINDS with gusts to 120 kilometres per hour
. VERY ROUGH SEAS and DANGEROUS SURF CONDITIONS
. COASTAL EROSION and FLOODING OF LOW LYING COASTAL AREAS
. SEVERE to CATASTROPHIC FIRE DANGERS
. HEAVY RAINFALL south of the cyclone with possible LOCALISED FLOODING.

Hey Stephen and Robyn thanks for dropping by.

Yep looks like we are all going to cop a bit of a hiding in those affected areas.

Tomorrow Saturday 29th will make a few decisions, on the usual procedures to cope with a blow.

Stay tooooned

Cheers & beers

Hey Red Nomad thanks for your wishes.

Seems that it will come accross north of Townsville now, and shouldn't affect us.

Tomorrow is another day, and will have a better idea.

Two more sleeps are we are outa here.

Stay tooned.

Cheers & beers

Us.
